Hellenic Cup: Preseason kicks off

07 Feb, 2012 12:00 AM
THERE will be foot traffic aplenty at the Western Suburbs Soccer Club this month.

The Blues will host the bulk of this year's Hellenic Cup preseason tournament on their home ground at Ralph Reserve.

Finals day, however, will be played at the Grange Reserve in Kingston.

The Blues' first port of call is on Saturday at midday when their top women's team squares off with Port Melbourne as part of a triple header opener day.

Meanwhile, Green Gully Cavaliers kicked off their preseason campaign with a 1-0 win over Port Melbourne at Green Gully Reserve on Friday night.

The Cavaliers will take part in the inaugural Brimbank Cup at Keilor Lodge Reserve this weekend.
