THE Victorian Premier League is back this weekend with Brimbank again having a major role to play in Victorian soccer's top division.
The first cab off the rank is Peter Ollerton's Green Gully Cavaliers, who host Hume City in their season opener at Green Gully Reserve on Saturday at 3pm.
Later that night, the Ivan Duzel-coached Melbourne Knights will make the long trip to George Andrews Reserve in South Dandenong to face-off with Dandenong Thunder at 6pm. The new-look Sunshine George Cross will familiarise itself with its new home base at Knights Stadium on Sunday at 7pm when it entertains Heidelberg United. Andy O'Dell is in charge of the Georgies this season.
