FFV: New coach for Altona City

17 Jan, 2012 12:00 AM
FORMER Green Gully Cavaliers coaching director Fab Incantalupo will take charge as head coach of Altona City in the Football Federation Victoria men's state league 2 north-west this season.

Incantalupo, 48, from Taylors Lakes, has wide-ranging experience in the coaching caper and needs every bit of it to fill the boots of long-time City coach Charlie Egan.

Incantalupo has previously worked as an assistant coach with Carlton SC and Sunshine George Cross and head coach with Fawkner Blues.

George Cross reunion

SUNSHINE George Cross will be holding a reunion of the club's 'Golden Oldies' team at Chaplin Reserve on Thursday night.

It will be the first time in 48 years that the 1964 Australia Cup-winning team gets together in an official capacity.

The Georgies have also been busy in the transfer market.

They have announced the signings of Andrew Zoig, Zeljko Popovic and Francois Bationo in a triple swoop from Brunswick City.
