NWMCA: Cougars bowlers inflict pain on United

13 Dec, 2011 12:00 AM
KEALBA-GREEN Gully was superior in all departments against Burnside Springs United in a lopsided North West Metropolitan Cricket Association Luscombe Shield one-day game on Saturday.

A run-starved United was rolled for just 79 off 26.1 overs as Cougars ball operators Evan Long (3-9), Divesh Kumar (2-13) and Jarrod Catania (2-20) offered little breathing space.

Cougars barely had to work up a sweat in chasing down the runs, doing it in 18-3 overs with the loss of just one wicket.

Inspirational leader Andrew Lambropoulos unleashed for the Cougars with an unbeaten 46.
