THE Sunshine Rotary Club desperately needs membership support if it's to continue its valuable community work.
Charter member Ray Carlton notes a change in culture over the past few decades and is urging residents to lend a hand, saying that helping others is a rewarding experience.
Membership has dwindled to 21 members, having once peaked at 50.
Mr Carlton says that reduced number hasn't grown in 10 years.
Club director of membership Tony Ebejer said: "The problem we've got for memberships is because we're a lunch-time club. No boss is going to let everyone go for the two hours of lunch."
He said the club continued to offer a valuable service to the community but could do more with the involvement of new members.
Rotary has about 1.3million members worldwide.
