Park upgraded for better family fun

04 Aug, 2009 05:00 AM
THE first stage of a Calder Rise Reserve neighbourhood park upgrade has been completed at a cost of $175,000.

New picnic tables, seating, drinking fountain, gravel and concrete paving are all part of the new look, which has transformed the park into an inviting gathering and play space for residents.

It's part of implementing the council's "creating better parks" policy and plan, which is behind other recent improvements of Brimbank's parks, Brimbank Mayor Troy Atanasovski said.

"The new picnic area and playground provide the perfect destination for groups and families to gather and enjoy themselves at the park."
