Green tips for locals

31 Jan, 2012 12:00 AM
BRIMBANK residents can learn more about looking after the environment at a free 'sustainable living' exhibition on February 25.

The expo, at Westvale Community Centre in St Albans, will guide locals in conserving energy and water at home.

Workshops will explain how residents can reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.

Participants can also learn how to plant, cultivate and cook their own healthy produce.

The event includes art and planting activities for children, a free barbecue and guided walks at nearby native grasslands.

Vasili Kanidiadis, of Channel 31 television program Vasili's Garden, will host a gardening workshop.

It's from 10am-3pm at Westvale Community Centre. Bookings are not required.
