Family pleads for help to find missing man

09 Feb, 2012 02:53 PM
THE family of a missing Sydenham man is pleading for help from anyone who may have seen him since Saturday.

Thomas Atherton, 65, was last seen leaving his Sydenham Road home on foot about 5.30am Saturday.

He may have taken an overnight bag with his wallet, house keys and mobile phone.

Police believe it’s possible he may have travelled interstate.

He is described as 176cm tall, solid build, with a bald head, moustache and a fair complexion.

He wears glasses and was last seen wearing an orange T-shirt, shorts and brown shoes.

Police and the man’s family are concerned for his welfare and have released an image of Thomas to assist the investigation.
