POLICE have charged a St Albans couple over an attempted armed robbery at the Braybrook shopping centre car park last week.

Detectives arrested a man, 31, and a woman, 25, on Friday and charged them with attempted armed robbery, intentionally causing serious injury and assault-related offences.

Police allege that when a woman returned to her car on Friday afternoon a woman produced a pair of scissors and demanded the victim's bag.

The man allegedly joined the attempts to rob the woman and assaulted her.

Cash stolen from store

POLICE are appealing for information to the burglary of a store in Keilor Downs Plaza.

About 6.30pm on August 22, two men allegedly forced their way into Vue Decor and stole cash, jewellery and a laptop.
