SUNSHINE police are seeking a man who helped track down an alleged offender last month.
Constable Elise Jinks attempted to make an arrest after discovering cannabis plants at a Sunshine home about 2.30pm on January 6.
The alleged offender fled from police and she gave chase.
The quick-thinking member of the public pulled over and gave her a lift to catch up with the offender.
Constable Jinks caught the man, but the helper left before police could thank him.
It's believed the man was driving a silver or pale green metallic 4WD.
