THE first day of school is always a special day, but it was twice as exciting for Sunshine West's Thien family.
Twins Thien Thack and Thien An (pictured) started prep at Sunshine Heights Primary School on Thursday.
The twins were among 70,000 preps to begin school life across the state, 46,800 of them at government schools.
About 2500 new teachers also started at government schools.
